HAPPY BIRTHDAY CONNIE AND IRENE!
Well, it's going to be their birthdays and to celebrate, they invited me to their party at Huy's cribbb in Revesby.
After my driving lesson that morning, Benson and I drove to Huy's place a little later than everyone else and upon arrival was greeted with surprise photos taken by Maria&Co. I gave Connie and Irene their presents and then we set off to the guest room to find everyone sitting there all excited to start the challenges/games.
First, it was a game of shaking off the sticky notes, then the pocky game and the challenges ended with chubby bunny. Highlight? Well, during the pocky game, Benson was one of the participants along with the drunk Raymond, andddd they very nearly kissed. But.. Sandy and Connie, they actually did kisssss! LOL! Oh! and Janet was just soo adorable during the chubby bunny game. heheh.

Then came the karaoke, cake cutting andddd group photos! (:

Most of the people left after that and with less than half the group left, we continued the games with a mix of chinese whispers and draw something. After that, I got a little hungry but soon found out that they had already finished eating the food that was meant to be bbq as we had arrived late. And so Benson and I excused ourselves and left for pho at Bankstown. We were first determined to go eat at the club but then since I wasn't 18 yet, pho had to suffice. But it was still good! As the pho at Bankstown is yummmo!!!!
After pho, Benson just drove me home and we both called it a day~

For NYE:
- went to RTA to register for a driver's license
oh and did I mention it was SUPERRR HOTTTT? Like nearly 40'C hot. And I was in a pair of skinny jeans and a black tshirt. = =;;
- went out and met up with Benson
- arrived at Green Box where Carl, Jess.W, Tin, Michelle, Selina, Howard, Cornelius and Brian were karaoke-ing
- ate dinner at SeoulRia with them and James Ruse peers
- after dinner, I bumped into Gerald, Izzy, Diana, Donna, Jeremy, Collin & Frank at the same restaurant
- made our way to Milson's Point, but everyone else went to Nrth Sydney instead so Carl, Tin, Joanne, Christine, Andrew, Benson & I all had to get on the next train to Nrth Sydney
- walked to Blues Point where the view was just exceptional and the bridge was right in front of us
- everyone set up the sitting spot near the ambulance outside the park as it was too crowded inside
- 9pm fireworks was bland
- some people left after the 9pm fireworks so we all sneaked into the park and got ourselves a spot rightttt infront of the bridge
- now we played the 3hr waiting game, during which Raymond and his gangster friends came to sit with us
- some of us fell asleep while the love birds were in their own little worlds
- 12am fireworks finally came and everyone stood up to watch - wasn't too great but it was still nice
this yr's theme was an opened hand. :D
- after that I had to rush home so Benson and I just left. The others stayed behind for the alkii and I think they were all crashing over at Cornelius' mansion. lols

Went out to meet up with Carl and the others today (with Benson)

Benson woke up late so when the group finished having brunch at Wagamama, we arrived.
Therefore we just went to the CHEF'S GALLERY at Townhall to have our food instead.
I remember passing that place with Benson before it was opened. All the chefs had to stand at the front and they had a somewhat very serious meeting. I ended up just standing outside and staring, marvelling at the significant design of the whole restuarant.

Anyways, We had the Jian Bao Zi (w/ Cabbage and Pork) - 6 pieces first. It was very nice. The second nicest things we tried.

Next came our noodles. While I had the noodle soup with light crispy chicken, Benson has the dry noodles with chilli chicken. He didn't enjoy his meal very much since it was too "Shanghainese" for him - he didn't like the sweet and sour taste, as he expected real chilli like the ones in korean restaurants. The only thing good was that the noodles were made fresh. Like very fresh, where they were still stuck together and you can see the chefs pulling the noodles fresh. I didn't really enjoy my noodles either. The chicken came in a separate plate but it was cold and was mostly just batter. I know you were meant to put it in the bowl of noodle to warm it up, but when placed into the soup, the batter just soaks up and become all soft and not very tasty. It was just too.. bland... We both agreed we'd prefer the unhealthy Korean Ramen full of the chilli soup instead.

Then it was time for dessert! I personally ordered the little pumpkin pastries and the piggy face buns!
The little pumpkin pastries were the size of my thumb. Literally. And we were only offered 3 pieces and had to pay $5.80 for it. Was it worth it? Not really. It was just sticky pastry with lotus filling. Yeah, we just bought it because it looked so cute! Benson actually thought they were real pumpkins at first and questioned where they got small pumpkins like that.
The piggy face buns were the highlight of the day. They had a boy and a girl were the girl had a little bow on one of her ears. Also as Benson pointed out, they had sesame seed as their eyes!
It was so fun eating them! We first bit off their snouts, then ears and then the bite into the bun was just sensational. It was light and fluffy and the warm sesame filling just spilled out into our mouths. It was. AWESOME!

After brunch, we met up with the others and went SECRET CAFE. Upon arrival, Tin, Mish and Jess came as well. Whereas, Ren, Emily, Cornelius and Carl were already in the room watching 'How I met Your Mother'. We played a couple of rounds of Mario Cart and left heading off to Karaoke.
We went to K1, and because it was post Xmas time, they charged us extra. ):
So instead, Mish, Tin and Jess left to have lunch and we stayed behind to sing for half an hour.
After, Benson and I headed home as I became very exhausted while the others went to DK for Dancing Lessons.

I AM BACK FROM EXAMS MY LOVELIES!
Tomorrow will be my last exam and KABOOM! here goes the start of my last year of high school!
hahahs. Wonder why I'm not studying my ass off for tomorrow's exam? Well it's not that I don't care about my results or anything.. (I do actually care... A LOT! - lol you typical Asian)
but I'm dropping the subject anyways so there's really no point in busting my ass for that exam.
I might just doodle some monkeys on the paper and sleep through the exam.. (not really?)

mm.. update. update..
So what has Annie been up to for the last week or two?
Well! I had a little celebration lunch at iTaiwan  and went karaoke at CEO with Owen, Huy, Connie on Friday afternoon.. and then watched Despicable Me with Benson at Event Cinema in Townhall. The movie disappointed me... I was actually expecting something that would like... WOW me. But it turned out to be just.. just.. like the trailer. Nothing memorable or anything.. so I kinda yawned throughout the whole movie and ended up messing around with Benson's hand? LOL!
What else...

I also attended a wedding on Sunday night with my mum since my dad was busy and couldn't go with her. But the thing was that I had an extension maths and French exam the next day.. and even though I
told my mum that I didn't want to go.. she still made me.*sad face.
I practically didn't know anyone at the reception.. and mum was dragging me around the place, showing me to every single available guy there, somewhat like an auction to sell me off. That kinda pissed me off so I ended up ignoring every guy who came by that night...
OH! there was also this kind bartender who kept mixing me these funky tasting drinks throughout the night and I was the only person at the party who had those drinks..
that was kind of the highlight of my night cause they tasted so niceeee!



After the reception, I crashed at home.. but still made it through with a few ext. maths past papers!
"STAY STRONG!" I told myself... where I also told my mum that if I fail this exam and didn't make it to the 4U class, she'd be the one to blame. That kind of scared her off and I don't think she'd ever force me to attend any gatherings without my permission anymore.
Yeah.. That's it for now!

I went to Fitness First at North Strathfield with Cici today ~
We were there for a total of 3hrs and god was it tiring.
I felt like I just shredded a whole layer of skin, kinda like snakes.

Went to see Karate Kid with Janet, Joet and Chris today.
It was a decent movie, kind of cliche but nonetheless worth watching in ways.


Before the movie, we went to Galaxy world and played Gundam. I won a 2vs1 game against the guys, hahahs SHAME! But I accidentally left my novel "EMMA" on top of the machine and didn't realise it until after the movie had finished. Luckily someone turned it in at the counter so I was lucky enough to get it back.Also, I got soaking wet when I went back to obtain the novel. I swear, Sydney weather's so strange; it was full sunny when I went into the cinema and when I came out, it was pouring like no tomorrow.
Janet and I dogged the guys for a while and went to Chatime for some "girl to girl" D&M time, but it was soon interrupted by Chris's constant texts so we headed back to them as they went to grab food.


Around 4pm, Janet had to leave because she had a curfew and surprisingly Cici was finishing work so as the guys left, I stayed with Cici and we went to karaoke at Greenbox.

After the voice breaking 2hrs, Cici decided to go to her restaurant - "Chinatown Noodle King" located near Chinatown (hahahs) to grab some food. We ended up eating "霸王餐" there.
It's a very neat little shop and has an open kitchen. The food there is very decently priced, a very nice ambience - there's even a shelf full of mangas! and service and quality of food was excellent.
~ I still feel bad about not paying for that meal though. *sigh.


It was around 8pm and we decided to walk through the Friday night markets and towards Central station. It was super lively and as we strolled through the little street stands, the crowd just swallowed me in. Thus, I ended up holding Cici's hand through the whole walk out of Chinatown. - o -;;

We rushed to the station thinking that the train was going to leave, but realised that it was alright to still catch the next train.

I went karaoke at GREENBOX today.
It's my 3rd time this wk. Once on Monday and another on Friday. :O
Not really.. because Sunday is counted as a new wk isn't it? hahahs

Today, Janet and I went to a karaoke outing with the Techs.
I was nearly 2hours late though..

We went to Mizuya for karaoke plus lunch and I have to say..
this place was really disappointing..
upon entering the room, I found that it was very very small and narrow with barely any walking space.
and we had 15 people so we at least got one of the medium sized rooms. NOT IMPRESSED.

The food was not anything special either.. the set meals were reasonably priced but the sashimi and sushi were another story altogether... also the ice cream was a nono (soft serve similar to ones from maccas w/ a swirl of choco cream for $2? you've gotta be kidding me)
but one thing that surprised me was their Gemini drink that I ordered.
I adore light n' fresh tasting drinks with not too much sweetness and this drink was exceptionally refreshing.
I loved the kiwi-apple mixed flavour. ♥

the cost overall was $20AUD p.p for food (an order up to $20) and 2hrs of free karaoke.

Janet and I left early and went shopping together with Edward the tag-along (nahhh he just had to go home with Janet so he came with us).
As we entered Myer, a sales lady gave us a coupon and told us to go to the SK-II counter for a free consultation, so Janet and I went and got ourselves some nice n free SK-II products.
What I really loved was the SK-II facial treatment mask. It made my skin feel like a newborn baby's butt.
Definitely going to get it again sometime (as it is quite pricey ~$125US for 10 sheets or $90US for 6 sheets)

As winter's coming I thought I should start using a better moisturizer since my skin might dry up and flake..
the product hasn't broken me out yet and absorbs into my skin quite well.. so no complaints about it so far.
Bought it for $66.60AUD on a 10% discount.

The day began with all of us asians (+ zahav) meeting up and going to Norita Cafe.
Surprisingly, it's owned by the dad of one of the girls in our grade at school, Grace Kim.
What seemed like a shifty entrance, led us to a really funky room with a few couches and tables.
The main reason why I chose to visit this place first was because I wanted to "break the ice" between all the people that were invited since many of them didn't know each other.
We took over the three center tables and played Jenga. There was also a rule where everyone had to order a drink and so we had to order twelve drinks in total ~
Altogether we paid around $90.

We then set off to BigEcho for karaoke.
I like how the place has four microphones. And since it was HAPPY HOUR, we only had to pay $12 each for three hours, plus an additional free drink!
While some were off with their singalongs, the people that weren't singing played the classic game of dice dare! Many funny things happened in during that time, and whatever happened in there will only stay in there and never be told (eg. Winston getting a lapdance? Me stealing Jenny's first kiss? hahah)



After Karaoke, it was finally dinnertime at Shinara Grill and Lounge.
I have to admit, this place is AMAZING.
highly recommended~ service was great, food was awesome and the atmosphere and design of the whole place was just perfect!
The waitresses and waiters were very friendly and one of the girls who worked there was extremely nice to us. She was so cute~~
And even though the food was served in small portions, you can always order more so that wasn't a problem at all.
In total, we paid $480 for 16 people. That was pretty neat.




That basically concluded the day.
We were about to go out to late dessert houses, but we were all so stuffed that it didn't really matter anymore.
And thus, we parted ways and took the late night train home to get some good'ole sleep ~

Today was Connie and Gerald's sweet 16 outing and it was a BLAST !
Overall it was just 3hrs at CEO Karaoke with a bunch of friends and loud blast of music, but in between all the tone death singing and such, there were little naughty games being played.
Yes, unfortunately I have to admit, I was part of it. Since not everyone can sing a whole row of songs at the same time, some of us who weren't singing those certain songs had to entertain ourselves with whatever the hell was in the room for the remaining 3hrs.
And so I found a dice and we started to dare whoever rolled whatever number to do stuff. The worst thing I had to do was "hump" some guy I didn't know against the wall.. *which I didn't literally do, of course* but the person who I felt sorry for was Renae, because she had to kiss Gerald twice..
I also got bitten on the nose twice and had to bite someone on the ear. I also had to kiss Jess, which wasn't a bad experience I must say.
The day ended with us leaving CEO and going to CHATIME to get ourselves some freshly brewed Asian tea. Then we parted ways and caught the train home...

I'm now just drinking a cup of hot tea with little treats on the side, while trying to finish my stack of work that's all due tomorrow. And also study for my upcoming chemistry and tutor economics exam ~
oh the joy of being a senior student  ~~
