 decisions
So venerable asked me for the third time to see if I wanted to teach at the tuition classes at monastery again..
Should I? Or should I not?
Also.. I'm thinking about starting a humble little beauty channel on Youtube for the fun of it.
Should I? Or should I not?

You see, this is what happens when I have too much time in my hands. ):
I even tried to paint for the first time in 3yrs... don't judge me. I'm just an amateur. I promise I'll try to improve! You know what, I should also grab myself a tablet so I don't have to draw on paper or canvases... but then again, maybe not... because the traditional way is more fun even though it's messy..

yeah.. this took me an hour or two and I have no idea where I got the inspiration from so don't ask. I guess it's a pretty common theme though.. the sky and trees.. it's pretty much overdone so not much to say about that.

mm..I should really go do something productive..
Well first thing's first: Must get my P's so that I can get around easier.
And I'm still waiting for replies from UNSW or USYD!
This is making me anxious..
D:

Oh! Did I mention that my dad and brothers have arrived in Australia with their goodies? They landed at 9pm on the 12/01.
So finally I can start putting together the photos for my China journal. yayyyyy~
Anyways, I'm off for a nap!
Toodlesss~

 class of 2011
Year 12 2011 of St George Girls graduated today!
Ms Whitehead (our year adviser and my chemistry teacher) gave a very funny yet emotional speech. She mentioned some life quotes relating to birds and how they tell us that our world is like an oyster shell. She said this is because oyster shells are easy to open so we can get pearls out of them. But then she contradicted this  with facts about how there is only a 1 in 10,000 chance that we'll ever naturally find a pearl in an oyster shell and that there is only a 1 in 1,000,000 chance that we'll ever get a pearl the size and shape we consider to be valuable. So basically we're telling our kids to dedicate their lives into opening oyster shells for an empty promise. And then she moved on to joking about going to a friend's graduation and not understanding a word of his professor's analogy of life. So she made her own analogy: think of life as a road trip (because she often goes on road trips). Right now, at St George, it's like we're at a car dealership, getting ready to choose our cars for our long trip to the horizon. Some of us will choose Ferraris cause we wanna get to the horizon as quickly as possible, some will choose a laid back van cause we wanna stop and smell the flowers along the way and some will choose Rolls Royce cause we wanna travel in style and be noticed by everyone we past. And during our road trip on the high way, we'll meet some problems like running off into the wrong roads, or the car might break down, and during those moments, we would just have to stop, and think about our situation before bravely reversing and turning back into the main highway. The people in the hall - our parents and friends will guide us and act like the NRMA or RTA people. Whereas Miss Whitehead, will become the little bird who'll fly beside our windows and when we look out, we'll think to ourselves "hey that's the same little bird I saw 20kms back".. and as we keep driving along, we'll eventually not recognise that same little bird... and then Miss said that, however, we should all remember that she'll always be there to watch over us when we burst a tires or run into dead ends etcetc  - at this point Miss bursted out into tears, I cried and so did everyone else. So yeah.. After that everyone got their graduation portfolios and Celia and Winnie gave a brilliant piano performance.

getting my graduation portfolio from the principle

Afterwards, we had a Garden Party with our parents and teachers where we took our last photos in school uniform and my parents and Peter (my brother) bought me a big teddy and a bouquet of flowers.
Vicki also made us cookies!

With Buddies:

The day ended with hugs and kisses, and everyone headed off with either friends for a girls night out, or like me, went with their parents for a nice family dinner.

 Brothers are on camp!
My brothers are currently off on a 4 day 3 night camp with mono and so I get to stay home with my parents all to myself.. YAY... ):
BUT ANYWAYS! It's actually 2am now so I guess this post is for yesterday, the 8th of July.
mm.. I had English tutor in the morning and then went out to City with dad to look for my new phone.
Getting the new Samsung Galaxy SII cause Peter (my first brother) got himself a HTC Desire HD too. ):
- The phone will arrive in a few days since my cousin works at the phone store and she's grabbing it for me.
Since most males get sick of looking around in shops, we just stopped at Starbucks for a cup of coffee.
Then mummy joined us, her and I just went shopping while my dad went to get his eyes tested by the Optometrist. :D
And then we had dinner at ChatTai in which I paid the bill. cause I'm so nice. LOL
But yeah. It felt so different without my two little brothers.
I miss them very very much though. Hope they're not freezing their a** off in bush and that they're eating enough. ):

 newborn!
My mum's currently on the phone with her mum and they're talking about my aunt's newborn baby boy!
He was born in Hong Kong at around 9am this (I mean yesterday) morning through Cesarean Section weighing nearly 4kg! and apparently is very healthy and in great condition. (:
AND GUESS WHAT!? I HAVE THE HONORS OF NAMING HIM! :D (got any suggestions guys?)
He's going to be their third and final son meaning that I'm still the only girl in my mum's side of the family.
hahahs. but anywayssssss ~ I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HIM AT THE END OF THIS YEAR WHEN I GO BACK TO HK!

late night ramble: need new phone
Recently my dad asked me if I wanted an Iphone4, but since I dislike apple products I said no.
But then like a week later, he managed to grab himself one and thinks he's like top sh*t because to him, it's just cool to have one.
After that, he also upgraded my mum's phone into a HTC Desire HD, the phone that I was looking into buying.
And now, because I've had the LG Renoir for about 3yrs, it's wearing down and dying on me.. (battery life is drained super fast - yes I have purchased numerous batteries, screen is screwing up, certain functions not working, lags like a bitch.. the list goes on. Bascially I can't do anything other than text or call).. and I've realised that the amount of money I have wasted on fixing this phone in order for it to even function was enough to buy me a new one.

* sigh... depressing.
I need a new phone.
Like.
Fast.
)):

NOTE TO SELF:
- next time when offered a free new phone from parents: just take it
- never buy LG phones ever again

 my 17.
THANKYOU CATHERINE FOR THE CAKE YESTERDAY! (:

mm. I woke up this morning to Benson chucking a giant teddy bear on my head.
We named him Baby. hahahs. I know right.. unoriginallllll ~~
But nah, it was a very sweet moment because what he did next was very surprising.
He pulled out his guitar and sang me a song he wrote, which cracked me up because his voice is just horrible. JOKES! But yeah. And of course I teared up.. since I'm such a cry baby.

Then I realised I was still in bed, with hair everywhere and was just a mess. Wasn't a very pretty sight. But Benson reassured me that I was still beautiful no matter what I look like. (:
Anyways, I then got out of bed after half an hour of snoozing. *yeah I know.. once I sleep, i can't wake up*. Did the whole morning routine and went to the kitchen in search for food. But then I saw the cake he bought! :D
And yeah.. It was already afternoon by the time I got out of bed. ):

I ended up spending the day with Benson and my youngest brother, David. After a while, Peter came back from City with bags of stuff, in which he placed infront of my bedroom door. I discovered that he had went out that morning to pick up all these stuff from the City, gifts which he and a few others purchased! He's such a nice boy. ))):
There were a bunch a candles and home accessories from DUSK, a tea set from T2 and bath bombs from LUSH! Apparently he saw how stressed out I was during exams where I studied 24/7 and was worried about my health so he went out to get me these stuff to calm me down and help me rejuvenate myself. (:

Mm that was about it. Just close times with loved ones. And study for 4U exam which is on Monday.
It has become one of the happiest birthdays I've had. Yes, party with a whole group of friends is nice but spending intimate times with a few loved ones is just as nice. It allows you to relax and thoroughly enjoy and appreciate your time with these people. It's especially nice when it's during/after exams without all the hiatus.
All in all, thank you all for your birthday wishes and I hope everyone would enjoy their birthdays just as much as I did!

-- and thank you Fitao for the perfume set!

a series of firsts. do you remember yours?
HELLO HELLO HAPPY PEOPLE!
reporting on Sydney's weather
It's been cold.. and cloudy.. and rainy and it just feels really gloomy these days.
And it's only AUTUMN! ~ unbelievable...
We're stuck in the midst of flus and sneezes while the rest of the world are in the prime time of smiles and sunshine.
- sad face -

I'm meant to be at my baby cousin's first birthday party today but instead, I'm stuck at home studying for my French exam that's due tomorrow.
She's turning one today and her parents, as rich as they are, is holding a hugeeee party for her.
hahahs. how nice. I bet she's going to be super pretty and super tall when she grows up.
since she's half European.. and her dad is like.. 2m? heh lucky girl ey? (:
as much as I want to be part of all the celebration and the meeting with renowned individuals that are currently attending the party, I have to think about myself and the situation I'm currently in..
Senior years is seriously really different.
I kinda regret that I didn't enjoy myself as much during my junior years now. *chuckles.
mm.. anyways I would just like to wish CHARLOTTE a very very HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY.
May your future years be full of happiness and love.
Anddddd that you'll grow up to be as beautiful, smart and successful as your mother.

♥♥♥

hahahs ..
mm yeah.. I'm failing miserably at staying focused..
and this is what I do to keep myself sane.
warning: KIDS! don't scribble in your notebooks like I do.

ANYWAYS. one more thing before I return to shoving my face inside my French textbook,
Do you guys remember your first birthday?
- cause for me, I've never celebrated my birthday until I was 9..
hahahs. Infact I didn't even know when my birthday was until I was 9.. funny thing huh?

heh. Alright then, back to hardcore studying.
Have a nice day guys.

 Weekends come and go
Went out to City last night with Cici and we visited the LV, Gucci, Chanel and Bvlgari store in search of a present for her special someone. Damn the stuff inside looked oh so desirable. *sad face
But like the things she wanted to buy was way over her budget and because she wanted to give him something that was out of the ordinary (and expensive), I suggested underwear from Calvin Klein or Oroton or Armani or.. you know all those poshy woshy designer brands.
I mean... it's something practical and the guy can wear it all the time and think of you while wearing it.

Can't get any better than a gift like that right!? (:

mm so we ended up in the men underwear section of Myer for 3hrs trying to find out the guy's size and what style he might prefer. It was quite funny cause we girls, cannot tell the difference between bikini briefs, stretch briefs, whatever the hell briefs that were on sale. Aren't they just all briefs !? D:
And while asking for his size, to not give it away, we had to ask his "pants" size and go half way through the store to find a pair of pants that were the same size and then run back to the underwear section to check for the right size...oh the things women do for men.

hahahs. Before I went to City though, Cici called me and told me not to eat before we go because she wanted me to eat with her. But with all the havoc that happened during "gift searching", we totally forgot about food and I didn't end up eating anything the whole day before I got home at 10pm. ):

But then again.. it was fun while it lasted. We took a few photos inside Myer. One consisting of me "kissing" a mannequin. and I also took advantage of the winter sale and bought myself a Mossimo Bra.

left: kissing mannequin right: mossimo bra

This afternoon, my brother, Peter and I went to Parramatta because I wanted to have some sister and brother time with him. We went around Westfields, bought myself the Shiseido Eyelash Curler from Myer and the Passionfruit Facial Cleansing Gel from The Body Shop - It smells so damn nice. I wanna eat the whole thing up.
While Peter bought himself "nerd glasses" from Typo. *chuckles
We then visited Max Brenners and I ordered the Chocolate Fondue for Two. It was very busy by 6pm and somehow our order got mixed up so we didn't receive our order until I complained 40mins later.
It was nice while it lasted though ~~

MAX BRENNERRRRSSSSS
mm I guess that's all for now.
Oh! and I would like to congratulate my second uncle on having an adorable baby girl just yesterday!
May your family be happy and well ~
*going to visit tonight at around 10pm so I'll upload photos then ~

TOODLES!

 WHY TRY?
WARNING : This does get personal, so if you don't like it then FOOK OFF & STOP TROLLING.

My parents fight whenever they're home and it's always about "MONEY, MONEY MONEY"!
FFS! They seriously have to realise that money can't buy you everything, and also the fact that screaming their lungs out in front of me doesn't quite make much of a difference.
FOR CHRIST SAKES!
They never have the courtesy to even try to listen ~
And they should really understand that I'm currently in my Preliminary HSC, studying my ass off just so that in the future they don't ever have to care about money issues anymore... but instead, they just .. they don't even know the effect it has on us kids, huh?
....
I'm just so sick of it...
Every night I just...
.. why do I even bother with trying so hard..?
..
...someone once told me to do it for myself, but if it wasn't for the sake of my parents, I would've never started trying...

Hopefully someday they'll start listening.. but .. I guess it'll be too late...
Because by then.. it wouldn't really matter as much.

A family with no love or understanding is not a family..
We're just mere strangers who sleep in the same house...

mood : sick of it all (*´ο`*)=3

 Asian Parents and their superstitions.
As my tuition class finished at around 8:30pm today (no wait .. scratch that, it's now past 12am so YESTERDAY), I was surprised that my dad wasn't driving the usual Toyota Camry but instead an old bombshell ;; you know those old old cars made in the late 80s to early 90s.
When I sat down I asked him, "so ... whose car's this?" he just simply gave me an answer of "someone else's." I don't know why, but that answer really bugged me._| ̄|○

Half way through the trip home, he started asking stuff like "so, do you want to give the kitten away? Or set it free to the wild?" and straight away, the atmosphere turned from light hearted to very awkward. I mean I was thinking, 'why the hell is he asking me this? It's only been what? NOT EVEN 3 DAYS since Hiro came' Stuck in my chain of thoughts, everything turned particularly silent. (except for the noise coming from the exhausted car engine) Then he asked again, this time saying stuff like, "are you sure you don't have any friends that would like to take him?"
and straight away, I answered, "NO."(,,#゚Д゚):∴;'・,;`:

However,
Later did I find out that the back screen of the usual Toyota Camry was smashed today by a thrown pebble (probably by one of those lewd Middle-Eastern boys living nearby - no offence - that keeps throwing things outside our house and pranking the doorbell) ;; which our neighbour also said might have been a bird as well. BUT I find it SUPER hard to believe that it was a bird, since the whole screen was smashed.

After hearing about this indecent from my family, my mother then told me that apparently on the day I brought Hiro home, it was my father's birthday, and that he now considers Hiro as a source of BAD LUCK (simply because Hiro's mostly black in colour and the fact that I brought him home on the day of his birthday)

I strongly DISAGREE on the thoughts my father has and the biased opinion he has towards Hiro. I mean seriously !!!!!! WTH !??? Asian parents seriously believe anything other people tell them, but they would just not listen to their own children. (-_-;)

My father ended off with a note of: "we seriously don't understand each other anymore huh?" Simply because he told me to "泡点茶吧" & following his request I made tea for him but instead he meant he wanted me to boil water.
I MEAN SERIOUSLY !! HE SAID "茶" which is TEA. If he wanted water, he should have said "水" ! 〜(m~-~)ノ
